Title: Clocaenog and beyond esoterica
Post by: Monolith on July 30, 2006, 01:00:37 pm
So here I am, back to esoterica again. Always seem to get an itch this time of year to find out about mystery boulders I've spotted throughout N.Wales.
This time, I'm wondering two things:

1. If anybody is aware of any boulders, be it developed or undeveloped within the Clocaenog forest. I fished for years in Alwen and Brenig reservoirs and am sure remember seeing boulders littered throughout the forest on the drive in.

2. Whilst driving towards Barmouth on a B road which goes through the Clocaenog forest (B4407), we spotted something about 150 metres from the roadside just over the crest of a hill which looked good. (It's around 5kms from Pont yr afon Garn) We went up and checked it out and there was fantastic potential for a number of good lines.
(I don't think I could be anymore vague sorry). The weren't any signs of activity on it (perhaps unsurprisingly) but the views and location were stunning.

Any intrepid explorers have even the feintest what I might be on about here!?
