Post by: Carnage on April 27, 2006, 11:37:29 pm
What do you guys make of this?

Lame or not lame? Any potential for injury?

Strikes me that what you would stand to gain from this exercise is different to that which is gained from pullups (the movement in the fingers transferring from an open hand to a crimped position) - Hence my interest. However, hopefully someone who knows about body mechanics (Dylan?) can give me some input.

would this just be like doing heavy finger rolls, but you wouldn't be able to drop the weight?  I'm not sure I get how it works....

I seem to remember reading something in one of Greshams articles about how the fingers aren't isowhatever like arms etc and that you can't train them in the same way, i.e. that you can't do finger curls to get your fingers stronger, and yet that is exactly what that advert looked like.  Dave's right, it looks like a load a shite.
