Title: WIN32 Jeefo / W32 Hidrag Trojan
Post by: Bubba on March 22, 2006, 08:38:33 am
I've recently had my whole network infected by this bitch which infects just about every .exe file it can find. Nasty.

Most of the common antivirus thingies won't get rid of it permanently but I reckon I've finally done it.

Anyway, for anyone else who gets caught, here's some excellent removal tips:

Sophos tools here: http://www.sophos.com/support/disinfection/jeefoa.html

:) In my defence, it wasn't picked up by Ewido, AVG, etc which is what I'd normally check stuff with.

I'm not sure - Counterspy picked it up first, then Windows Defender - I hadn't run either of them for ages so it might have been on a while.

Just download that Sophos utility and run it if you're worried....
