Title: Alpine Legend missing in action
Post by: Control freak on February 02, 2006, 07:42:58 am
Just spotted this on planet fear
Lafaille Missing (http://www.planetfear.com/news_detail.asp?n_id=5628)

Hopefully may still turn up ok but its not looking promising.

Lafaille has climbed many of the worlds hardest alpine routes from the Alps to the Himalaya with Yosemite thrown in for good measure.

IIRC he climbed up to about 8b+ and soloed Priveledge du Serpent or something similar... it's a real shame he's gone.

He also equipped Biographie - that eventually became Realization.

It's always really sad when someone doesn't come back.
