Title: Uninstalling Limewire
Post by: tommytwotone on January 31, 2006, 11:21:28 pm
yo yo, pretty self-explanatory, this. Had Limewizzire for the P2P flava, but then have managed to cock it right up by trying to install a newer version over the top (i assume).

Now, it seems I need to uninstall it and start over, however either I've inadvertantly deleted the uninstaller or there wasn't one to start with.

Either way I'm proper knackered to music at the mo, can anyone help me word?

ps...I am well dense when it comes to computers.

Dont remember having any problems getting rid of it. Does it not appear in the add/remove programmes listing?

Hmm dunno - I'd try:

- delete the program files folders (keep your settings files if limewire uses them)
- re-install to same place
- run uninstaller
- if that fails, delete everything again and use a registry cleaner to delete anything limewire related

I didn't even know Limewire was still going tbh - is it any good these days?
