Please can you look out for anybody trying to sell the following:
6 pairs of boreal shoes: brand new beta women's (UK 5.5), newish crux women's (size 6?), Dharma women's (UK 6.5), 2x dharma size 5, new satori size 5.5.
2x edelweiss ropes (pink) in red edelweiss rope tarps
Green boreal rucksack, grey Patagonia cragsmith 45l rucksack
Approximately 28 wild country proton quickdraws (blue), 2x gri-gris, a petzl jumar ascender (yellow), 2x brand new WC mosquito harnesses, some very distinctive kneepads (a 3-strap send, a 2-strap send, a right leg blakpad and a homemade one), plus lots of bits n pieces like belay glasses, flip-flops, belay gloves, hats, brushes and chalk bags.
Loads of men's and women's Wild country clothing.
We had our van raided whilst bouldering at Anston Stones this afternoon. Unfortunately, we had two full suitcases and all our sport kit in the van as we are en route to a caravan holiday in North Wales. They got a laptop, a tablet, all our chargers and lots of important/sentimental items too.
Scumbags!

That is awful. Hope you get something out of your holiday. And some of it back, of course.
-
Thanks. Hopefully both of those things will happen... But every few minutes we think of yet another thing that was taken. Jordan just remembered his Ash fingerboard was in his rucksack too. It has his name on it, maybe that will be spotted by someone.
-
Now I wish I'd had my name tags in my clothes!
Hope they catch covid from my underpants... >:(
-
Ah shit, sorry to hear that guys
-
Jesus that’s grim. Fingers crossed you get it back
-
Gutted for you guys, hope some of it turns up.

Except the underpants, obviously.

Guess what? Loads of our stuff has apparently been handed in to south Yorkshire police. Not got a comprehensive list of what's there but it definitely includes our rucksacks and 'some climbing gear', and our laptop. We'll find out more next week. I'm already feeling so much relief though!
Thanks for all your kind messages and supportiveness, it really helped.

:dance1: excellent news!

Amazing, wtf!

:dance1: :punk: :2thumbsup:

Fantastic news! Bet that'll make it easier to enjoy your holiday!!
-
Great news! :clap2:

How odd, but great too! Hope you get it all back.. :icon_beerchug:

Cheers all. Yes, it's very odd, but odd in our favour so I'll take that! Definitely looking forward to finishing my book, and updating my diary - I'm a bit obsessed with recording the day's events when I get myself tucked up in bed, sorts my mind out and also means I can look back to see what I have/haven't done days/weeks/months/years later (my memory is truly shocking) so I've missed this a lot. Trying not to get too excited as there could be loads of items missing yet.

Guess what, collected our bags from Maltby police station and I got my underpants back
-
Not sure you should be happy or disappointed..
Seriously, that's great news, what's still missing.
-
I reckon we got about 80% of it back. Still missing are the two pink edelweiss ropes in rope bags, one mosquito harness (small) with belay gloves, gri-gri and a WC pro guide lite belay device, both on WC locking crabs. Also a bundle of 14 WC proton quickdraws, some of my jewellery, a galaxy tablet and our battered camping stove (which may have looked like a toolbox?).
The police said they would have been primarily after tools, cash and non-traceable stuff like jewellery. They left our laptop! And I finished my book last night, yay!
We're really grateful to have been reunited with so much of it. Jordan was particularly happy to get his kneepads back, and we really missed our belay glasses on our weekend in Wales.
If we ever go back to Anston Stones, I'll be taking the car and leaving it obviously empty.

For having a load of stuff nicked you sound really upbeat!
Glad you got most stuff back, especially the laptop. it's crap that you can't just leave some stuff in a vehicle without the prospect of it being stolen.
Kneepads and pants, what more do you need in life ;)

They left our laptop
Very odd. I guess they know these things need log ins and can be disabled. We had the accommodation we stayed in in the Alps broken in to, all they took was tablets / kindles and Chromebooks and cash. Left laptops and luckily my DSLR (even opened the bag to look at it!).

Definitely needs to be a photo-shoot of Jordan doing some hard repeats on North Wales lime in just pants and kneepads and the usual Boreals ofc.
-
Don't tempt me, had to climb in some PJ bottoms on that last trip so I'm halfway there
-
How odd,
It was Boreal

You focus on fixing the gammy arm
