Just "discovering" Ebay - well, I knew it was there but never actually used it before - it rocks!
Now, I'm thinking of buying some electronic goods from US/Canadian Ebayers, but does anyone know whether I'd have to pay any customs duty/VAT on such items if they're 2nd hand?

Dunno, but only if customs notice anyway. I've heard you can often get round it by getting the seller to write "GIFT" on the package.

I'm quite a fan of eBay, having bought and sold a few bits and pieces over the years, and whilst I have bought stuff from Germany before I've never had anything from the states. I'm sure you'll be ok but I can't help but wonder if theres any comeback if something is wrong with the product when you recieve it?
Make sure you read their feedback!

They do have a compensation program if it all goes tits up I suppose. I've found this way sexy little mp3 player that's £300 over here and someone in the states is selling for about £90 so a right bargain. Also found one of those compressor / limiters that we were talking about for mixing straight of the decks into a pc - gimmee toys!!

I got a bluetooth base station for £24 the other day, now I can roam around the house reading ukB on my iPAQ just because er, well I really need it for er, development?
WHere is that damn coat?
