Hello,
I'm look for a bike carrier/rack for carrying bouldering pads on the back of my van (Renault Trafic) - the only option i've found is a "Fiamma Carry-Bike Renault design", which is not cheap (£267), before I commit to buying it... Any one know of a cheaper solution? (...other than keeping pads inside or on the roof of the van.)
Cheers

Not sure how good this will be, I have a rack like that on the back of our T5 van, and I'd think the wind resistance would be pretty bad, to a point where you'd practically have to duct tape the pad in place to stop it flapping and ripping.
I can stick a pad on it and take a photo to give you an idea what I mean?

Yes please. I was thinking about using bungee cords, it would be good to see. Cheers

If it's even feasible, mini ratchet straps tied off as a minimum I would imagine, like these:

Having seen things fly off the back of a vehicle and the aftermath, it's not pretty.

Good call on the straps, thanks
