We've got an Airbnb place sorted for the first week, but thinking about a second and somewhere to stay. had initially planned on getting one of the mobile home things at Camping le Lido, but they are booked up. So my questions are;
There's a few Airbnb places in Fontainbleau town itself. Is that a reasonably nice place to stay?
Or anyone know of any other campsites that do little cabin type things? La Mussardiere seems to, but can't find anywhere to book.
Or any other suggestions welcome, it's just the Wife and I, and small sprog.
Cheers

Heh Ged, Font is a very pleasant town can see any problems with staying there.
Probably have to phone la Mussardiere, it was always very expensive (even for camping) and their accommodation was pretty shabby.. Been a few years since I have been though.

I've never stayed in accommodation in town, but used the campsite by the river a few times.Plus is as Grant says it is a pretty town, nice to have option of places to eat and shop in walking distance (subject to location) and non-climbing activities
for the family. And good access to quite a few of the lesser climbing area spots if you want an evening hit.
Downside is it is more on the edge of the climbing than central though, and getting out of / through town can be a bit of a pig at peak times, and you might be driving 20 minutes or so.

There's a few nice places in Milly. Never stayed in Font itself before but when I've been researching Airbnb places, lack of parking was always the main issue.
Not sure when you are going, but we stayed here (https://www.airbnb.co.uk/rooms/4385501?guests=1&adults=1) and it was perfect...

Was trying to remember the name, yes Milly is lovely.

Thanks everyone, found a place now just to the north of Milly. Was a bit cheaper than the stuff there.

Font town has mass tourist appeal, so premium attached. Milly is ace, expect the trouble will love it.
