Title: River and parkland conservation in Sheffield
Post by: DAVETHOMAS90 on March 06, 2019, 02:59:01 pm
Hi Folks.

I've put up a post about the planned new Parkour site in the local (Broadfield, Nether Edge) park near me, in Sheffield.

I'd approached the parks office at the Council some time ago, about the possibility of further development of the area - including the addition of street gym equipment.

Together with a small number of other local residents, I've also been trying to explore interest in the potential for conservation work around the banks of the nearby river.

I think that with the right level of local support, the river area could both be better protected and also turned into a beautiful site of great interest to everyone locally.

If there's anyone locally who'd be keen to get involved, or who has any relevant experience/expertise - or would like to know more - please pm me.

Dave.

PS. I'll get some photos and post them up later.
