Title: Chicago
Post by: Snoops on August 20, 2018, 01:49:34 pm
Places to visit seems to of dissapeared....
I'm in Chicago for a week for work start of September. May have a couple of days free to get out of town, unlikely to be climbing, but does anyone know of any nice outdoor areas to visit, I;m happy to get a car and drive a few hours.
Cheers

Devil’s Lake, Wisconsin, is about 3 hours drive depending on which bit of Chicago you’re coming from. Very good and long established quartzite bouldering and trad. climbing. The lake and surroundings are very attractive. A bit warm in early September but you could do a lot worse.

Some Chicago climbers do the 7+ hour drive to Red River Gorge.
