Hi all,
Does anyone out there have any knowledge of bouldering in the dolomites, where to go? what's good? Guidebooks etc.
I've had a search for info, but I'm drawing a blank. Any single pitch sport would be good too.
We're just on route there after being chased away by the hordes at mello.
Any ideas on whether they're hot on people staying in vans out there too.
Cheers
Rich

I think Nibile is there right now. It has both bouldering and sport. I'm struggling to remember van doss sports - I think that was the 2 of the maybe 5 or 6 days I stayed in a campsite in a 3 month trip! (needed laundry & shower)

Hey!
I am, unfortunately, in a suit and at work in a scorching heatwave.
Anyway, the Planetmountain guide works well and will guarantee you a few days of fun. Grades are all over the place though.
The only place where free camping is allowed is right after Pian Schiavaneis crag, just on the right of the road. You'll see tents and campers.
Otherwise it's strictly forbidden and very expensive, should you be caught.
Have fun!

Cheers guys, that should come in handy!
Nibile, is that all over the dolomites that you're not allowed to stay in campervan or do you just mean close to the climbing?
Cheers

As far as I know they're pretty strict basically everywhere. The closer you get to the big rocks, the strictier they get.
Of course you can camp in the very mountains, if you're staying for more than one day. If you're close to a hut, it's better to ask.
