Hi all,
I’ve bought a 5.10 knee pad after forgetting how rough they are on the back of your knee.
Does anyone have any tips or pictures of successful attempts to modify them?
Ta!

I remember seeing a Beastmaker post where one of them had hacked the back around to improve it although I can't find it (perhaps you'll have more luck).

Wear a neoprene knee support underneath it? I do that to add thigh padding for for particularly painful or insecure kneebars. Or there is always, (i) pick up 5.10 pad (ii) put in bin (iii) spend a fortune on a sender pad!

Second the neoprene knee pad idea, and it gives you a knee pad rather than a mid thigh pad

I've had mine since 2012 and it's been fine. Then last year it started hurting the back of my leg so I just cut a bit out the elastic at the bottom.

Is it easy to get hold of sender pads in UK?

You can get them sent from US but works out expensive with import duty etc..

What you need is a forum member that regularly takes pillgrimage to Smith Rock or similar to return with 4 (one for each knee :-[ ).
