I just stretched a bit whilst sitting in front of the computer and noticed:
- DOMS in my pec minor and abs, from trying to hang in a hollow body position whilst fingerboarding on Thursday
- several fingers feeling a bit stiff / delicate / worked, also from fingerboarding on Thursday
- left lower ribs still a bit sore from a snowboarding tumble in February
- slight soreness/feeling of impingement in the front of my right shoulder. Have had this much of the time since my early twenties, it doesn't get worse as long as I'm careful with it
- mildly arthritic left knee aching a bit
- last week's mystery calf muscle problem not actually hurting at the moment, but I know it will as soon as I get up and put weight on it
And when I consider the alternative - being an inactive middle aged fat knacker - I wouldn't have it any other way.

No elbow issues?? Must try harder....

Yeah yeah - busy learning to climb. Doesn't feel like I should be reporting it as training, even though that's exactly what it is. ;)
*my coming trip has taken a bit of a twist from February and looks like I'll be in Font from mid April for a month or so. Might be in need of a kindly local to show me all the decent lower grade stuff :yes: Be good to say hello.

Worst inventory in the last year or so was my talus tumble back in March, when I bruised a rib, re-twisted a knee and re-aggravated elbow and wrist problems all in one incident.
After my little tumble last month i am still recovering from the broken ribs. I have had a cortisone injection last week to try and get my shoulder to heal better, knee has recovered ok, wrist is still playing up but is getting stronger.

Did my first ever 'proper' campus session yesterday. Felt absolutely fucked at the time, with pain in areas of my forearms that were previously peachy. Skin was also trashed and actually had a blood blister on the pad closest to the palm on one finger.
Today? Absolutely fine. Left middle finger sore at the big joint - Years ago while doing gymnastics I put my hands down while landing a front flip and bent the finger sideways and fractured the knuckle joint. There is now a big hollow 'bubble' in the bone where it didn't heal and the area gets sore after any training where there is inpact or any lateral movement going on. Elbow tendonitis seems to be cured : )

I never got my finger diagnosed but I did something similar in a drunken brawl many years ago. Knuckle is still oversized to a point where there is a gap between my fingers when out straight. Still feels tweaky after a hard workout.
