Nice pic Dobbin - glad to see you've gone the way of coppermine too - a good bit of software innit?

So easy to use, and I'd always wanted to make my images searcheable. Granted, you have to think of and enter the picture info yourself which is no mean feat, but once that's done it will be awesome!

Yeah, I reckon the new ukb gallery will be coppermined - much better than anything I could write - already got one on ukcaving.com which has had over 120,000 views which is cool.

The approach is a bit worse than the plantation mind:

Neither of those are Cresiano though surely? Top is definately Magic Wood, bottom is Sustenpass perhaps?

I actually think the Plantation walk in is a task  :?

remember when i said my screen goes different sizes, that big photo was an example. i now have to scroll 2 foot to the right.
one serious question tho, for dobbin, r they your tick marks? if so why r there 3 lines? i would presume u only needed 2. do you go to the furthest right n then pop 3 inches left. please help a bewildered young man :?

Ha HA! your keen observational skills serve you well Jedi!

Bottom is snowfield at head of Avers valley above the highest permanently inhabited village in the alps (apparently). Subject is one of three non-climbers on the trip who had nothing better to do than walk up mountains, pah!

Thats the idea. 3 is excessive tho. The right most bit is the nearest to the jump holds and slightly better, then you do some jiggery with your heel and hop left with your right hand before reaching out for an edge with your left, then it gets hard again.

[in your dreams]Of course, the hand print inches away from the holds is someone else's not mine, and this is my third lap.[/in your dreams]

Is start of January a good time to go you reckon? I would have thought not on account of the deep snow and general piss poor weather???

How did you find Dreamtime Dobbin? Is that slap move nails?

Its a long way! If it were cold and you were strong the move up is doable, then theres a variety of ways to do the next bit, most throw a heel on and go out left (I think - I didn't get that far!). From the jump to the end is 8a+.

Dave Buchanan went with Stevo Dunning over New year about 2 years ago and the Clifford went in mid Jan, so thats probably the best time to go. I'm thinking about it myself!

Can't believe the person on the magic wood cable has clipped in with a biner, and actually owns one of those harness things! Oh the shame of it all! We all know that real men are stupid enough to be egged on into crossing the cable hand over hand, thus scaring the shit out of themselves (been there and ticked it!)

Righto, just back from Cresh and must heartily recommend January as a time to visit.

Rock in fantastic condition and forest fairly quiet. Mixture of austrailian, italian, swiss, american and british dudes all exchanging beta notes and cranking out some impressive stuff. I love climbing.
