My moon climbing holds needs some cleaning, any tips?

The wall I climb at regularly clean their's with a pressure washer, not sure if any other element is involved ie chemicals to clean with. They sure do look spankingly clean and climb well afterwards though.

I just scrubbed mine (moon holds too) in the sink since we dont have a dishwasher, its a bit tedious but gets the job done

Soak in a bucket of water and flash for a day it melts the rubber and the chalk comes off with very little effort

You may want to use some disinfectant as well. :shit:

Dishwasher is highly discouraged by manufacturers as the temperature damages the surface (over 40*C)...
We wash our holds in the dishwasher every reset.
Benkey hold cleaner is excellent, but harder to get hold of. Flash works well.
We don't have the outdoor space for pressure washing, hence the dishwasher.

Our village club has a big kids comp every year. As part of the prep, we clean all the holds:
1: Strip all wall and bouldering holds
2: Use "borrowed" shopping trolley to transport to showers at back of sports hall
3: Pressure wash using a half-naked man and a karcher
They clean up well, don't seem to suffer (apart from aforementioned half-naked man who works in 200% humidity for 3 hours) and dry fast enough to re-set with the next day.
