Post by: Sloper on June 02, 2014, 11:24:52 am: Since a good butcher's shop seems to be a bit of a rarity I thought I'd spread some knowledge,

Warwickshire & N Oxfordshire, it has to be Aubrey Allen, quite simply superb.

Cheshire, we stopped at the Artisan Meat Company and I have to say I was impressed, properly >30 day dry aged rib of beef, bone on for about £15 per Kg.

For those who are time limited and/or don't travel round the country looking to purchase things....any chance of including links for delivery?

Had a box from these guys recently. The lamb noisette one. Bloody tasty. Still got the diced venison in the freezer. Any thoughts?

I'd second this, its pretty unassuming tucked away in the little precinct but its very good.

They don't sell direct but have a number of agents including Roneys in Sheffield and also sell via Ocado (http://www.ocado.com/webshop/getSearchProducts.do?clearTabs=yes&isFreshSearch=true&entry=packington).

I bought a 2kg loin via Ocado to make bacon and it was really good.
