Is Huntsham likely to be dry tomorrow (Sunday)? Anyone fancy joining me/showing me the bouldering? Where's the best parking?
-
Where's Huntstam?
-
Forest of Dean sandstone.

I've been away so not bee following the weather I'm afraid, but parking is best described either in the esoteric bouldering topo or there was a blog article I wrote a little while back - travelswithrockboots.blogspot.co.uk
The stuff I've been able to do on bivi buttress is good as is Ames Low and golden bicep and so on. The satellite and darkside boulder stuff is likely too easy for you but has a few good problems on it.

Hi Andy, working tomorrow so can't make it but cha1n (ross) on here is fairly local to Huntsham and may be around - might be worth dropping him a message. there's space just down from the coach turning circle on the opposite side of the road for a few cars - I've never had trouble parking. like AJM said, esoteric bouldering (think you might need to use the wayback machine now) will give you the gen, or boulder britain will get you round most except the bivi buttress stuff, which is on AJM's blog.

Cheers Duma and AJM, much appreciated. All set to meet up with the Potokars so I should be all good.

By the way Duma, I was having a nose around in the autumn and your shoehorn problem - I seem to remember you described it as a direct start to square eagle? I think it's the nose just right of the crack right of clarks slab, in which case Martin's guide describes square eagle as about 20m right, a nose with fimgerholds coming in from the right, which I could identify when I was there. Your prow didnt seem to have any fimgerholds!
-
Ummm, not sure tbh - its the nose below where pete tops out at 3:42 in this vid:
Huntshambleau (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EwCkKL0D1Mw#ws)
which is captioned as Square Eagle?
don't know if that's correct though, and can't find my copy of sandstone outcrops atm...

found my guide, and am none the wiser! Oh well...

How was it Andy? I see on FB that Hamish repeated Hunters Roof.
