After a trip up to the 7Stanes my jnr's are now keen for more single-track biking and a bit dismissive of ex-railway line style trail routes...
Any recommendations for nipper friendly single-track in or around Sheffield. Needs to be beginner / blue trail type difficulty rather than anything too knarly!
Will try Sherwood pines but thinking there must be stuff closer to home (Sheffield?)
Cheers

Hound kirk and lady cannings plantation would suit your needs.

Not that close but if you're over Manchester way, the new trails at Clayton Vale are pretty good.
-
depending on your kids ability/braveness (delete as appropriate) parkwood springs is good for a couple of hours and has a few little skills options next to the car park too.

I had a recce round lady canning's plantation last night, more there than I'd realised.
Only heard about Parkwood Springs this week so need to go and investigate (prob before letting the kids loose on it)!
Not heard of Clayton Vale either so thats on the list to check out too!
Thanks for the tips!

Apologies, being an occasional visitor to the area etc:
Where exactly is 'Sherwood Pines'?
and 'Lady Cannings Plantation'?

Sherwood pines is near Mansfield - about an hour away.
Lady Canning's is the plantation at the top of Ringinglow Road - on the way to Burbage/Stanage - about 8 minutes away (depending on where you live)
Have the trails been started in Lady Canning's then ?
