Anyone got any pulleys from their pig hauling/tree choppin'/window cleaning days?
Will pay for anything you promise hasn't been dropped.

I think so. Will need to dig around. How soon you need it?
-
No massive rush, maybe by the end of next week. What do you think you have?

I had a few petzl swing cheek ones passed on to me by dad in law which were used once offshore on a dive project and then collected dust in the back of his store, and were written off once outside of certification / warranty period (have considerable amount of kit from this route!). Need to see how many I actually have, and how many I want to keep.

Nice one :2thumbsup:

How many do you need and how big/strong?
-
Whatever I can muster at the moment. They need to be fairly robust in the long term...

The swing cheek ones with the orange wheels, classically carried for crevasse rescue, are not robust. Took a couple up a wall once and they fell apart around pitch 20.
You should be able to get some of the red 'fixe' ones as they are cheap and widely used in rope access. We have a load, they bend easily if used on a D-shaped karabiner which means they get binned regularly- I doubt they lose any strength but it is damage.
The ones to get are the partner - they look like the old lightweight ones but are strong and have decent bearings.

Depending on what you need them for the gear4rocks pulleys might be worth a look. Bought one of their basic steel jobs for some forgotten purpose and while you wouldn't call it refined it's pretty beefy and should stand up to plenty of abuse.
