Title: Porth Ysgo what goes at high tide..
Post by: tomtom on August 07, 2013, 07:41:39 pm
Hey up,
on the Llyn and had a frustrating day on Popcorn Party at Ysgo... got the chance to go back tomorrow AM before we leave, but high tide is at 9:45 am (grr). Its like a millpond at the moment, so swell/waves wont be an issue and I'm sure all the higher up stuff would be fine.. but any local beta would be much appreciated about whether PP gets wet feet at high tide?? (Its not an especially high one and as I said its dead calm at the moment)

TT

On a 5m tide I don't think it will be anywhere near. Storms/ Spring tides (or both) and its up there rearranging the landing.

Yeah, agree.  Not local but been there at high tide.  Dead cow nearby was a problem, tide not.

Cheers JB was worth a punt in the end I owe you a wad when I'm back near a PC.

The dead cows now lodged behind the Fst Cars boulder :-/ so was ok by PP with a breeze.

Some splashes on/near the mat but ok :) I was trashed from the day before so no cigar :(
