Title: Beast Making with golfers elbow?.....

I am slowly starting to heal after a four month stint of golfers elbow, hitting the eccentric
exercises and its paying off. Was going to start back on the beastmaker just dead hanging thinking this wont put too much strain on my elbow? has any one been in this situation? im gagging to get back on it!....

For me and mild occasional tennis elbow, I really avoid any sort of pull up - or pull ups - or locking off.

But regular deadhangs with slightly bent arms seem to be fine..

Doing too little exercise can cause rehab complications with scar tissue build up and also ligaments and muscles getting weaker and upsetting whatever kilter the body had developed and adjusted to in the first place. If you have the restraint then careful deadhanging and gradually building it up could help.

Trouble is a lot of climbers either have an 'on' or 'off' switch between full bore training and sloth.

See McDave's recent blog posts about an enforced return to strength training due to injury and apprehensions of niggles.

So dead hanging open handed and useing the slopers

I actually wouldn't recommend the slopers.  From personal experience, they seem to be harder than half crimp on the elbows....

I would avoid the slopersmas well. Too much elbow engagement to hold them. Good holds or pockets, openhanded.

get on these bad boys, they did wonders for me, just three sets each arm two or three times a day
