Title: Sling Training
Post by: gilesrichards on February 25, 2012, 03:06:44 pm
Hi,

Has anyone tried Sling Training within their normal climbing training routine?

I've seen a video of Norwegian climber Magnus Midtbo using them yesterday on his blog and seen an article he wrote on another website. I've added the link below.

It looks like a great way to develop all over body strength. Would appreciate any feedback people may have, before I give it a go?

Thanks

Giles

Very similar to the TRX systems that people are using in the gym these days.

Body weight strength exercises are becoming very popular, instead of using weights.

to me it looks really similar to the ringtraining workouts that I first came across from Dobbin. I (as someone who had no shoulders and a laughable core) found it to work very well. The main problem is finding somewhere to hang a set where you won't be descended upon by a million people trying to do an Iron Cross.
