Title: Bristol Ring Road Boulder Conditions
Post by: bean on February 03, 2012, 04:12:58 pm
Hey,

I've recently moved down south (near Oxford) and as far as I know the Bristol Ring Road Boulders seem to be the nearest real rock to where I live...

All the photos I've seem of this area seem to have been taken in the spring/ summertime... and I was just wondering if anyone knows whether they'll be too green to climb during the winter? Or maybe they've become all overgrown since the info on esotericbouldering.com was posted??

Also, I've got a feeling that there's probably somewhere closer/ better that I'm not aware of, so any info anyone can provide will be much appreciated!

Ta.

The churnet is only an hour further and much, much better - I live in bristol and have only ever been to the RR boulders once.

Second that. I live about 5 minutes from RR boulders and don't plan on going again anytime soon. It's ok as a locals training venue but really not worth travelling to.
