Title: Malham Parking
Post by: TobyD on June 01, 2011, 09:18:36 am
I heard someone saying yesterday that the farmer who lives next to the cove centre car park had remonstrated with them for peeing in the car park. This is basically the poor bloke's front yard, lets be as nice to him as possible... and preserve this very handy free (at the moment) climbers' resource, otherwise we''ll all be paying £5 or whatever it is to park down at the big NP place

PLEASE DON'T PISS IN THE COVE CENTRE CAR PARK

.... and park elsewhere if you can.

And its not OK even if you think you can't be seen round the back. The public toilets are only 100 yards away FFS.

i will admit that i have been guilty of this once in the past myself, but it is utterly lame, and should not be considered by anyone. It is the sort of thing which ends up with climbing being restricted / banned.

People definitely should not park up and doss in vans etc in the car park either. There are other ok places nearby, which aren't in some poor geezer's front yard.
