Might be worth phoning Rab on 0114 2757544 and asking them what they can recomend.

I belive its also possible to wash down stuff yourself, but you have to be extremely carefull.

Bearing in mind that the labels in Rab jackets say that you should take it to Franklins, I'd argue that Rab will tell you to take it to Franklins. Thats if he doesn't just put the phone down.

He's really customer service focussed.

Fair enough - i didn't have one to hand to check.

Or you could just try and drop on a brand new jacket for under £30 - shouldn't be too hard, since Rab must have 100s of bright orange kinder jackets they can't shift.

You did used to be able to get seconds off him for around £30 and for the most part a bit of wonky stitching was all that would be wrong with it, unless as Dave says you get one of the damn hideous ones with multi coloured panels or summat!

Whatever you do and on pain of death do NOT approach him to ask said questions when he is climbing - he goes bonkers.

I took mine to Franklins and bit the £30 and got my bedraggled ragamuffin jacket back almost as good as new! they do do a really good job... worth the money? I reckon. Mine goes every year and comes back all warm and fluffy.

If you go to Franklins (which in my experience in highly recommend) ask to check out the drying room - it's like a cross between the scene in Brazil where they filmed inside the cooling tower and some weird internet pr0n movie with cages in a dungeon.  Has to be worth £30 alone.
