Title: woodhouse conditions
Post by: rginns on January 27, 2011, 04:49:20 pm
Anyone know what Woodhouse scar is like at this time of year, or in fact what it's like at the moment? Green as fork? or worth a punt?

Rained a bit yesterday, sunny and cold today in Huddersfield, forecast seemed ok last time I looked so I'd guess it'd be ok from tomorrow..

Can or rather will be green in places at this time of year, but plenty will be doable.. all the stuff on the Clingen face, the (many) eliminates on Cave Buttress etc..

Given your past form with sharp things you should probably watch out for broken glass...

No worries, I may even go there myself in the morning en route to the lakes - If I do, I could drop you a PM if you like? Always psyched to show people round!

Good tip nik, I believe its quite an 'urban' crag...

Cheers Nathan, if I get there it'll be about 9ish probably, got to shoot off by about half ten. I warn you however, I am a total punter...

bloomin' mint conditions this morning, well until the sun spoilt play, not by being too warm particularly, but getting in the way!
I was fairly impressed. It's not a bad place for an urban crag really, although I did still feel the need to check for dog shit before I put my mat down. Goes with the territory I guess.

Was there much glass and litter?  Lynn and I cleaned the crag base area just before we went to Red Rocks for Xmas.

Usual stuff I would expect, the odd carrier bag, a few cans, broken glass, but to be honest there wasn't that much, I would have expected more. take a wad for cleaning. nice one!
