changing tack on this thread slightly (by about 50 yards or so) what's the deal with the baldstone low traverse. the PB guide gives it B10 and mentions some other variations but i'm not at all clear where the B10 version starts.

i basically started sitting in the corner on the obvious start holds and traversed on the low holds (ie. below the obvious) ramp until rejoining the main traverse on the slopey jugs post-crux on the main traverse. this seemed quite tricky but i'd be interested to hear any other views on the method or grade???

this is basically starting at the same place as the original trav, but keep on the low knarly crimps until u can rejoin that at the arch thing - wildly overgraded in PB by some ass - V7?

i guess so.  seemed pretty fierce but then i guess v7s aren't supposed to be easy.  one bonus of this problem is that it seems to stay dry even in apocalyptic rain - although quite what you'd be doing at the baldstones in such rain is another issue entirely...
