driving past on wed from Cornwall to Wales and wondering if its worth stopping by for any bouldering, rather than paying for registration fees at Bristol or Cardiff walls. Cardiff wants £15 reg and then £7 to climb..£22!
cheers in advance, optimistically.

AFAIK there's not much at cheddar.
There's odds and sods of esoterica near Bristol though that'd occupy an afternoon though.
Check www.esotericbouldering.com (http://www.esotericbouldering.com) for more info

If you're coming from Cornwall, Dartmoor or the Culm coast make more sense. Info on www.javu.co.uk (http://www.javu.co.uk) for each.

Andy - don't bother.. if you're desperate I'd goto Burton Coombe, linked to above on esoteric bouldering
or the Trench at Ogmore could be a good call, depending on tide and how far into Wales you're planning on heading..

Guess I won't bother then. I've got Wednesday free, forecast looks ok so will give Dinas Rock a look.

Dinas Rock's your best bet. It was close to being dry on Sunday and rain has been fairly light so far this week so should be ok for Wednesday. Check out my vids for beta / info on the problems (http://www.youtube.com/user/KEVHUHGHES76?feature=mhum (http://www.youtube.com/user/KEVHUHGHES76?feature=mhum)) and get a topo from here http://www.swbg.co.uk/bouldering/dinas_rocks/kenelgarth_wall.shtml. PM me if you need more info. Kev
