Post by: Sloper on June 10, 2010, 08:58:05 pm
I'm really enjoying goat at the moment but am struggling to go beyone the goat curry, jerk goat, goat with lots of spice etc so has anyone goat any good goaty suggestions?

PS the arndale market in manchester may be rammed with orange proles but the butchers does sell goat and mutton at very reasonable rates.

Jeezus, I hated it. I think it was because I got it third hand, 'from some halal shop up in Huddersfield, dunno which one' and I think it was a goat's tail chopped into slices. Gave it a good 4 hours and it was still gristly as fuck, and it taught me a lesson in provenance of meat. It was the fact that not only did I not know what the place it came from was like, but neither did the guy who gave it to me, nor did his wife who got it off her sister.

And of course, goat isn't renowned for its narcotic qualities so it bothered me.
