Title: Lilja Forever
Post by: Houdini on December 26, 2009, 12:48:08 pm
It's been one  R O L L E R C O A S T E R  Christmas!

Baby Lilja slipped Fraudini's cuffs in style @ 2:55 Boxing Day.  2.8Kg, perfect, mother very well.  We are ecstatic.

Thanks to all who've shown support and interest over the last 9 months and recent hours.  God bless.

Good work fella (and to a greater extent Fraudini I guess).

Congratulations it would seem that, unless you're Sloper, your climbing standards should now improve...

Cheers all.

GCW, sorry man, but Lilja will be taking her mother's Serbian surname, Lipokatic, as it's cooler by far, plus there are only a clutch of them in Germany (originally the Lipokatics emigrated from Serbia to Germany after the fall of the 3rd Reich as they were pro-fascist and Serbia was too dangerous for them; yes, really.  The political traditions in the family have changed now).

Popp, indeed, I have bought nice vintage port Quinta do Vale Mećo 2001:  Knockout open nose of explosive sweet liquoricey, herby fruit: forward and nicely defined. The palate is sweet, ripe and open with amazing fruit quality. Breathtaking. Savoury, spicy, tannic edge. Very forward and appealing. Maybe not a long term wine but fantastic now. Excellent 95/100

Not tried it yet as the wine and coffee regime has been fierce of late, but will get round to it soon enough!
