Title: Anniversaries
Post by: DaveC on December 02, 2009, 11:56:11 am
A couple of interest to my own generation:
Thirty years since the release of The Clash's seminal London Calling album.
Ten years since the death of Ian Dury.

My original vinyl copies of both London Calling and Dury's New Boots and Panties are still with me to this day!

Admittedly in 2006 (so possibly off topic!) but the 20th anniversary of Metallicas Master of Puppets was pretty special for me - they played the entire album in full at Donnington Download including Orion. Sent shivers down my spine!

You're not wrong, sobering to think this is older to the youth of today than Exile on Main St was to us when The Stone Roses came out...
