For years I've used a very simple web design package called Web Weaver. The makers no longer exist it seems and for one reason and another I need to get some new software. I do very basic edits of web pages writing super simple HTML and a lot of cut n pasting i.e. I work in code view not design view. I do not need to get involved in complicated software like Dreamweaver. Does anyone have any recommendations? I don't want to spend a lot. Ta!

Is this for work? Ie does it need to be legit?
I use dreamweaver, though I barely use any of the features other than the 'split' code/ design view which gives you a live preview.
If its really just simple coding use notepad. Save and review in your browser.

yeah for work so needs to be legit really. Hmm notepad, hadn't thought of that. Can you save as a HTML file?
-
you can save as anything you like in notepad, just change the file extension after saving if need be.

Notepad++ (http://notepad-plus.sourceforge.net/uk/site.htm) might be a good option for what you want - think of it as Notepad on steroids basically. Freeware as well so no licensing issues to worry about.
