What kind of half-arsed poll is this?

I vote for Ola

I like the way you vote lagers....

To be honest, it's not really a valid poll. The title of it "Cheese on Toast" ensures there is only one logically correct answer (and therefore in this poll, 3 gimmick answers). Nevertheless, hammering the issue out in the time-honoured method of SCIENCE is to be applauded. Let's hope the idiots aren't going to be winning...

Not really. Sting likes his toast done on one side. And he's an Englishman in New York, and if it's good enough for that wee geordie tantric shagger it's good enough for me.

Tsk, celebrity endorsements what ever next...

Next it'll be 'Chris Martin likes his cheese on toast with onions on it', and 'Bono likes his mature cheddar flown in by an empty 747'..

Go for it Jasper, someone might as well eat them because I sure as hell ain't. And it's probably a damn sight better than cheese on half-soggy-half-toasted bread.

I fully toast one side, then lightly crisp the other before adding the cathedral city, cut to fit around the crusts perfectly, then cook it till it's browning. And nobody can do it apart from me.
Yes I have issues.

It is important to remember that being popular doesn't make something right.

I agree with the above; if I can I toast the side i'm adding cheese to slightly lighter than the otherside. Also defo cheese to the very edge otherwise theres a risk of burning the crust. It goes without saying that a good couple of dashes of Lea and Perrins and a dash of Tabasco or a side of hot pepper sauce compliments the dish perfectly.

For a moment then Lagers I thought you might be Bono posting under a pseudonym, but then I realised there would be no way on earth that Bono would make that comment...

 :off:

Bono is on Twitter http://twitter.com/paul_hewson (http://twitter.com/paul_hewson) His tweets were hilarious. Exactly what you'd expect and more for pomposity and preaching.

Can't imagine why he's protected them now. I've sent a request....... ;)

This McD's taunting needs to stop, I haven't been allowed near one for months, for fear that I let slip on here and give you lot more ammo.

I need the occasional treat of cheap, over processed meat, I am only human.  :'(

I recon nothing is  :off: on this thread - after all this is hardly a thread discussing anything important like bouldering  :)

If Bono rejects my request then I'm going to set up a fake Bono account.

Oh and Maggers, sorry but no chance.

Differential toasting is allowed. Cheese On TOAST solely implies the presence of toast and doesn't specify the toasting has to be equal. For many years my toaster hasn't toasted bread equally which fits in fine with cheese on toast on the lightly toasted side.

Being wrong is looking disturbingly popular in this thread. I despair.

Well "both" is narrowly squeaking it. Proof of the toasting.....

If Fiend comes out of the closet and has the occasional McD (as he admitted to enjoying in the first place), there will be no fun in taunting him and you will get to have a romantic night out at Chez Ronald. I, for one, would admire him for placing the experience of sharing cheap, over processed meat with a sexy Caledonian temptress over the shallow opinions of a few on-line bullies.
