Title: Southern Sandstone
Post by: fashionguru on October 15, 2009, 03:04:14 pm
Thinking of making a trip down to the SS on the the wend of the 23rd Oct (not this wend but the next).

Has anybody on here been around lately?

What are the conditions like at the mo?

Is it mainly dry?

I know there is over a week to go but unless we get very bad weather wont the conditions be about the same.

Not sure where we are going but suppose High Rocks, Harrisons and Bowles are the usual.  If any other suggestions please let me know.

Also is there anywhere to get an upto date topo?

Cheers

T

If it rains with in two days of you climbing then it's going to be wet. If there is any chance of it being slightly damp then might as well head straight to bowls, best chance of dry rock. A couple of hours of rain will take a couple of days to dry on SS this time of year, and the sides of high rocks that don't get much sun even longer.
