Hi,
I think about buying the Daescent as a comfy street shoe for next summer, unfortunately these are only available over the net in my area, so i have no chance to try them on for size or fit...
has anyone ever worn them and knows anything about them?
-
they are sized similar to rock shoes, so if you want them as a street shoe fit, probably best going up half a size in my experience.....
-
I'd go up a full size at least if you want to mooch in them. Buy them in your normal size and they'll out perform most rockboots. Amazing.

Cock on. I am UK8.5 in trainers, have Daescents in a UK9 and they are a little too tight to walk around in all day but good for rock. I like.

Get some five ten freerunners instead. Really comfy, good grip and look cool too!

I love my guide tennies, had em for quite a few years now and they are still in one piece :o
will propably get a pair of these soonish tho.
Have you done WSS in em yet?

Are they really that good?
I am thinking about picking up a pair, and am I right in assuming that 10.5 in rock shoes that means 11 in these will still be fairly comfy?
Also what is the wear rate like on the rubber with these shoes, what sort of lifespan are people getting out of them?

I would size up by 1.5/2 sizes

Lifespan seems pretty good. I've got two pairs. Buy them tight (ie size as per a normal shoe) and the performance is amazing - WSS and SST to name but two ticks in these.

Sweet, I love the idea of having a pair of shoes you can climb and walk properly in :)
Could you clairfy please?
size them as per a normal shoe, as in my normal climbing shoe size or my normal street shoe size?
My Scarpa Force shoes are 10.5 and they are tight, but I find it comfortable, street shoe I wear 11.5-12 depending on the brand.

Normal street shoe. Bigger if you want loafing comfort.
