Title: heart rates
Post by: webbo on January 06, 2009, 08:43:24 am
anyone got the low down on heart rates.i'm thinking more in a medical way here.
i've always had a high max heart rate,i was 203 when i was 40ish and a couple of years ago (aged 51) when fitter it was over 190.i went for a 3 hour ride on new years day not having ridden much for the last couple of months and i had a average h/r of 147 and a max of 186.i was wondering if this was just as a result of being fat and unfit and it being -2 or could it be a sign of some underlying medical condition causes my heart to have work this hard.

Probably out of condition.
As long as you don't get other symptoms there shouldn't be an issue.
