Right Christmas is apparently - 9 weeks away, according to my Wife. I now know to buy her present I'd have to re-mortgage the house, luckily the credit crunch has come along, so I can't....what a shame.
Anyway that got me thinking what do I want? There's a couple of expensive things, like a Wilier Cento Uno, which I'll never get, and I'm trying to think of some cheap things I would like. I've still got last years road inner tubes I was given, so they're a no.
I am sure all you cyclists have a few wants, especially the gear freaks on here such as the doc.
So come on post your ideas & perhaps santa may be reading.....

I want my ribs to get better so I can do at least one 7c this year.

I want new elbow tendons...

I'll have a Trek Session 88 please

Failing that I'll have the ever beautiful (but overkill) Session 10

I agree with the Session 88 call, but those 10's look really ugly to me. Have you seen the size of the tubing around the BB? It's huuuugggggeee...
-
I love the Session 10 frame - it's a thing of beauty in my eyes :)
I thought Trek might have discontinued it with the release of the 88, but they're still doing both bikes....fuck it, I'll have both please Santa !
-
There's a Sesh 10 for sale on Southern Downhill at the moment... You know it'd make sense. ;)
-
Skint or i'd have one by now :boohoo:

Ha ha - realised just after I'd posted!
If I'm not going to be climbing for 8 weeks :furious: I wouldn't mind one of these as an early present - it might keep me busy / stop me getting fat!

Oh God....

I'll have one of those wiliers, in fact they need to become team issue for ukb roadies
for mtb i'll have the 6 new inch attack trail with fox 36 air talas, a season pass to the whistler bike park, an income stream to cover 3 months of whislter, in a massive house, unlimited beer next to the hot tub with a fleet of personal tutors so the kids can come too and still get an education

saw a brand new one of these in the flesh at the weekend on the cwmcarn uplift. the guy looked like the cat who got the cream, until run 8 when he ripped a sram carbon x0 mech off, snapped his chain and bent the mech hanger.

I want this please:
More realistically, if I didn't already have one I'd probably ask someone for a Rouleur (http://rouleur.cc/) subscription.
-
I'm sure it's an amazing bike, but to the untrained eye it looks like it's made for a teletubby.
-
Good choice Duma - There's something appealing about a cervelo even its just because you know you'll go flat out everywhere on it. But an Italian bike gets my vote for no good reason.
Rouleur is also a good read - bit pricey but I buy that rather than reading the rubbish they put in cycling weekly or other such rags, although I think Singletrack is a better read for MTB activities.
I'm surprised there aren't huge lists of wants especially from the likes of fatdoc, must be the recession everyone feeling they shouldn't be hoping for flashy bits of bike pr0n.
-
Duma,
A sharp pointy stick to place up your backside is in the post.
Love,
Santa
-
apart from a desire to anally penetrate a fellow man what is really on yr list norton???
or are you declaring *the love that shall not be named* formally on the www. as a way of coming out??? :P i dont think santa will be too best pleased mate ::)
-
If Santa really has lost his marbles, I'd love one of these:
Never been a fan of how Colnago bikes look before (not that I've ever ridden one!), but the angular tubes on this one really make it look good.

That sounds like fatdoc everytime he enters a bike shop.

Can I have a pair of these please?
Or if these are too heavy for Santa (very unlikely at a smidgeon over 900grams for a pair), then could you get me a pair of these instead? They only weigh 870 grams a pair, so the poor old boy should be alright...

i've always fancied some of those Lightweight wheels...

Nice damm good those lightweights - rode a set couple of years back, and the word talent injection springs to mind.
And here's the bike for them http://www.bikeradar.com/gear/category/bikes/road/product/cento-1-09-33032 (http://www.bikeradar.com/gear/category/bikes/road/product/cento-1-09-33032)
