Title: Powerball Wanted (in Leeds)
Post by: James Malloch on November 01, 2019, 12:40:29 pm
I got rid of mine ages ago writing it off as a gimmick, though having had a number of wrist injuries over the years my physio told me to try a powerball out.

I’d be sceptical but she’s a hand & wrist specialist and understands to forces involved in climbing so I’m going to give it a go for strengthening!

I don’t have any way to get post (other than amazon lockers) so before I order one online I thought I’d check to see if anyone locally had one they want rid of?

Yep - I’ve got a spare one (random gift received a few years ago).

You can have it for nowt. I can drop it off at the Depot, or elsewhere in North Leeds.

Amazing - thank you!

I’m at the Big Depot tonight if you happen to be going? Failing that I’ll next be at the little depot sometime next week (Thursday or Friday probably).

I’ll be driving up to Chapel Allerton tomorrow morning too so could swing by somewhere and pick it up if easier?

I think we should all just pause a moment, and pour out a little liquor for Scouse D's powerball world record. Simpler times.

Just reading the title of this thread has brought back that revving noise.  I wonder where mine is?

It may be sad, but I’m quite keen to dig this out and have a play  :punk:

James, I’ll PM you to make arrangements.

Just wasted half an hour reading that glorious thread. An emotional rollercoaster.

Were you able to ascertain whether the string is necessary to start it or not Andy?

I like how Chris basically summarises the Powerball (fun to play with but doesn’t translate into climbing strength) in literally the second post of a 35-page thread.
