Title: New dyno at Wharncliffe???
Post by: Ackbar on February 02, 2008, 11:49:34 pm
Has anyone tried the dyno near towerface?  It's in the distinctive V shaped recess to the left.  The dyno is from crimps on the steep righthand wall, to a good flat edge (no arete).  Haven't seen it in any guidebooks.  It's well worth doing.  Around font6b+ I reckon.  The sit start would be really good I expect.

Waitaminute- Are you geologist Richard Ackbar? IF so, thought you were in Mongolia or something crazy. If not, it's obviously not you and there's two Richard Ackbars who climb...

No I'm a biologist not a geologist and in Sheffield not Mongolia.  Another Richard Ackbar?  That's weird.

i'm pretty sure this is something me and cofe did several years ago (i heard it may have been done be simon jones or someone previously). don't remember it being a dyno though. I think we did a pop-start to deadpoint to 2 edges, then finished somehow, quite nice i seem to remember. i don't recon the sitstart would be mutch cop since its almost a slab anyway.
