 some aamazing tunes there! especially liked Dom and klute - Maximus,Glad you like it :) That should have been listed as Domus Et Klutus actually. The transition from those gong-like drums into the bassline is heavy as fuck.
heres my offering most probably wont like it but I do so :PNot my bag personally but very welcome anyway - it's a broad church. Will try to post some different flavas up at some point. In fact if someone wants to do a jump-up ten that would be cool.

Hospital Recordsmight be mostly dire student/stadium cheese'n'vocal pop-peddlers these days but they haven't managed to fuck upS.P.Y.'s excellent musical output with this one. A good mixture of light and dark and deep and funky, and an insta-buy for anyone who has heard his stuff before. Hammer In My Heart being an early favourite, this will get multiple reloads on the car CD player
Slackers this is about dnb though not pop dance music....in a pop/commercial dance thread then yeah such denigration would be inappropriate.
Exactly, the thread title has "F-ing amazing" in it. If only there was a filter to filter out crap dnb from this thread...
No I don't, I forget when to stop winding people's clockwork up.
helped me through difficult periods.
Listened to most of that now, it is fucking RUDE, proper old meets new futuristic drum and bass.
Cheers andy :-*

I hate it when you pop down your local wall and they're planning crap music. Never gotten on with headphones while I'm climbing. Need the people behind the counter to play some awesome beats. Everything above definitely qualifies.
Did I post this before??

Some cracking suggestions. God this was such a creative time wasn't it?
Jungle and Drum ‘n Bass, the gift that keeps on giving. :2thumbsup:
Some cracking suggestions. God this was such a creative time wasn't it?
Sure was. I think my favourite era of D'n'B is still 1996-2000 early techstep. Stuff like No U-Turn and early Hardware through to Dom & Roland and BC....I love how some of the tracks had massive depth and darkness and atmosphere and aggression without being an OTT cacaphony. Shadow Boxing is a prime example, dark but catchy as fuck and still creative to this day.
Edit 1: If I ever learnt to mix, I've already got this track list mapped out to represent that flavour....
Renegade - Terrorist (mixes well into PF? intro?)
Alex Reece - Pulp Fiction ?
J Majik - Your Sound (into metropolis)
Adam F - Metropolis (steppy beat - into ni ten?)
Ed Rush & Nico - Torque (sparse beat, into ni ten)
Photek - Ni Ten Ich Ryu (into shadow boxing - oriental feel)
Nasty Habits - Shadow Boxing (into dark soldier, clean dark bass)
Renegade - Dark Soldier (dark bass into mutant?)
Trace - Mutant Revisited (almost the same as sonar!)
Trace - Sonar (dark bass mixes into still)
Boymerang - Still (growly bass mixes into shining)
Optical - The Shining (2 step beat mixes into secrets)
John B - Secrets (2 step beat mixes into edtrafienicol)
Various - Edtrafienical
Ed Rush & Fierce - Locust
Ed Rush - The Raven (lighter bits mix into mute)
Matrix - Mute ? (weird snares into shape the future)
Optical - To Shape The Future (dark vibe into mind weaver)
Source Direct - Mind Weaver (got amen snippets in into f2b)
Souljah - Fade 2 Black (amen)
A semi-mix / segued selection of classic dark drum'n'bass / techstep tracks from the mid-late 1990s, the era between Origin Unknown's Valley Of The Shadows creating the darkside, and until Bad Company's The Nine took it to the next rave level. Especially 96-98-ish when early Ed Rush, Nico, Optical, Doc Scott, Ray Keith, Trace etc were creating a maelstorm of stomping 2-step beats, furious amen breaks, deep reese bass and haunting sci-fi atmospheres. I'm not a DJ and can't mix so I've focused on a track selection of my favourites and hopefully a good blend of styles.

Now conveniently presented in Youtube format (remember your adblocker). As well as 30+ great tracks in 1.5 hours, it's also a slideshow of 140 pics of beautiful and varied scenery around the UK. So you can stick that on your main monitor in the background, and still keep wanking furiously over videos on your phone with some god-awful Mitboe-vs-Parkinson mash-up clickbait shite like "INSANE Lattice-approved training for indoor campussing with Magnus and Louis OMG!!!" (ugh I feel queasy even writing that). So there you go. Turn up your sub!!
Turns out I like an upbeat rrrrrudebwoy roller :dance1:
Samurai on point yet again with a great EP by Hoji, this track in particular is a fantastic blend of haunting hypnotic soundscapes and cascading jungle percussion. There's a reason that this thread is called F-ing Amazing Drum'n'Bass and there's a reason that I still bloody love this music, and tracks like this are the reason...
