Title: Llanberis accomodation
Post by: Dolly on July 08, 2014, 10:23:37 am
I'm off for a mid century celebration (ie I'll be 50 at the end of the month) with a few mates to North Wales for the weekend of 25-27th July.
I've spent quite a while searching for somewhere to stay but its all ridiculously expensive or booked ( I know its the school holidays)
Does anyone know of anywhere from personal experience ?

There will be 5 or 6 of us and we'll need
No camping.  Too old and its camping.
No bunk/shared accomodation. Too old and the party will have 2 of the weakest bladders known to humanity.
Proximity to pub and food.

Jacuzzi, fast broadband, en suite bedrooms and Sky would be nice, but I guess we can survive without for a couple of days.

I suppose it doesn't need to be Llanberis but that just seemed a good place to start.
We'll mainly be bouldering, although I suppose there might be the odd 1 or 2 who might want to go chuffing.

Any thoughts or ideas much appreciated thanks

Sounds like you are after self catering type accomodation - I doubt there will be many places that will do short stay weekends during school holidays. Either that or spenny hotels.

Llandudno may have the right sort of accommodation for your demographic (http://www.carehome.co.uk/care_search_results.cfm/searchtown/Llandudno/searchchtype/carehomenursing)

Glad you reminded me of that, can you remember what the halls are per night last time you used them?

this can be useful.

We used ebay for a cottage down in pembroke, ended up contacting direct, and getting 2 bed cottage for a week in spring for £100!

Cheers for that. Was about to give up and suggest we do something else instead.
Will have a look there
