Right, I know I will probably get laughed out of the forums for this Q but...
Anyone have an experience of climbing and golf?
I have ongoing shoulder issues (not certain what is it) & long story short, I was climbing 4 days a week then doing my antag exercises on the other 3 days and getting injured.
http://ukbouldering.com/board/index.php/topic,26866.0.html
I have stopped this and have been doing the antag on my climbing days, to give my body total rest 2-3 days a week
Does anyone know if golf harms the shoulder in a similar way to climbing? Could golf strengthen my shoulder as a different movement to climbing?
Basically, if I play a bit of golf on my rest days, will it fuck my shoulder up more?
Or anyone fancy a go???

I'm going to regret this aren't I :chair:

I used to play a moderate amount of golf as a teenager and occassionally since.
Last time I played, my shoulders would click every time I swung, nothing hurt. It just freaked me out a little :)
Can't see much strength coming from golf though...

Ask GME (and Jerry - didn't do him any harm)

Don't think any of the positive respondents are on here anymore.

I used to have a 11 plate 1.6Tdi. You could get a decent number of pads in the back...

I'm no Physio but I would suspect it isn't rocket science to say if you have on going shoulder issues wildly swinging a golf club is hardly rehab.

Yeah, I was going to say that a Golf is ok as long as it's a GTI.
However I'd always prefer the Lancia Delta Integrale, as in The Real Thing (also ask Jerry...)
:2thumbsup:

But, wildly swinging in the Golf Club; may land you in rehab.

How about wild swinging at a Golf Club,
