Fuck fuck fuck....
I think most likely / hopefully more chance of finding it at the Buckstone. If anyone is anywhere nearby and could have a look it would be appreciated. I think/hope it would most likely be somewhere on the ground facing the easy slab problems...
Fuck

Realised Stanage Middle is quite a big area! Visited Ian's Prow and the Cock of the Rock block....

Shit news, Si. Sorry to hear it.
What's the ring made of? And is it the kind of thing that a metal detector might find? There might be some local enthusiasts who are willing to help out.
-
That's you on the left, Will, but who's Paul?

They'll never find it with their antique equipment. Call the professionals.

It's old gold... We inherited antique rings on both sides of the family so had them melted down and made in to our rings. Will be propped gutted if it's gone forever....
-
Might be able to have a look on Friday...
-
We were all there yesterday but no one mentioned finding a ring. Soz, I'd have had a proper look.
-
Thanks Tom! And Kelvin I think I chatted to you by Causeway Slabs?
-
Had a good look for it with no luck on Saturday.
Question for locals - if you found a ring, where would you hand it in?
-
Thanks Tom! And Kelvin I think I chatted to you by Causeway Slabs?
Quite possibly? I was stood around chatting - you were with a couple of mates trying that wet 7A?
-
I'd probably hand it in at Outside in the village but tbh, i'd probably keep hold of it and post on here/UKc.
metal detector may well pay dividends.
