i can't find any in GQ Style so i'm a bit lost when it comes to current weight belt fashions...
i currently do weighted pull-ups with quite a heavy belt - 3 inch tan leather with a 12 carat gold buckle emblazoned with the words "jesus saves" in mother-of-pearl and onyx (back the fuck up...)
however, unless i add some extra metal soon i think its days as a hardcore training aid are numbered.
so, what should i buy? i quite like the idea of a 80s neon scuba belt. whatever i do i don't want to end up looking like either of these two -

I got a decathlon webbing scuba belt sans weights. I then got some decathlon soft ankle weights gaffer taped onto the back (they fit to the body well and won't rupture your kidneys when you fall onto your back) and on the sides got some of those decathlon square iron dumbell weights, these are threaded on via the slots on the edges of the weights, then covered in bubble wrap and a liberal coating of gaffer tape. The whole thing is then covered in a purple and black leopard skin and studded with diamonds from sierra leone. Theres also a 5" LCD screen on the back playing kung-fu videos.

I was looking at these a while ago:

how can you possible use a weightbelt? You just can't add enough weights... by the time you've added enough weights for it to be useful you end up breaking your back and rupturing your kidneys. Just get a rucsac, drop 100kg in it and then start doing pull ups... :8) easy... (and probably won't cost you anything since most people own a rucsac)

I used to use an old Troll padded harness belt - it was fine for weights of up to about 100lbs, but 100kg might hurt.

erm, 100kg sounds a bit excessive... i suppose you could do it with gold ingots - that would be pretty fly.
-
I suppose that if you can powerpull 100kg you might as well be doing weighted one-armers instead !
-
bearing in mind uncle is talking about deadhangs, not doing probs with weight attached
-
dear dense, the original post was about weighted pull ups... and I use a rucsac full of weights for that purpose...
what the hell are you doing lee? what is G-units campus board like? at a guess i would say it is PISS! ha ha... send me an email (unclesomebody at gmail dot com).

you're quite right uncle, i hadn't noticed that at all, i stand corrected. i know where i was heading tho. you have mail

the weighted pull-ups bit was kind of tongue in cheek. i would never wear my jesus saves belt for training.
one question - what's the advantage of doing 2 arm pull-ups with a load of weight? isn't it simpler to do 1-armers instead?

The Lengend that is Jimbo Corry broke 3 pull up bars doing weighted pull-ups. Landing on his back onto a rucksack containing about 60kg didn't seem to put him off the first two times. Wad.
