Title: Glossop wall topo available.
Post by: mrconners on September 22, 2010, 09:37:46 pm
Just in case anybody wants a copy I have the 07 Glossop wall guide to help you wile away those long winter nights by tweaking your fingers, complaining at the polish and enjoying the constant threat of decking it into the sports hall from 7 metres.

It got around 800 problems on it from English 4c up to 7a and I have to say, is a great little training facility.
PM me if you want a copy.

Cheers
Mr C

Nice one Mr Connors - I rate Glossop Wall.  Any chance you could pdf it and stick it on the Vimeo site?  The wiki has instructions on how to do it.

I've not been down to glossop wall for ages, this might inspire me to go and do some training over the winter so I'd appreciate a copy.

On a side note, is there any one night that a few people are down there? Always found it an uninspiring place to go climbing on my own.

Tuesdays and Thursdays are when folk are generally down, probably Thursday is best. I find it a bit uninspiring to climb there on my own as well, especially when you can't hear yourself think over the fucking aerobics. I have taken on the thrilling task of regrading the new guide as most of the problems were done by a 6"3, +4 ape indexed monster so the grading on some problems is beyond ridiculous! Maybe see you down there dude.

:) you probably want the much closer broomgrove road for nearby free sessions unless it has already been knocked down. http://ukbouldering.com/board/index.php/topic,16440 (http://ukbouldering.com/board/index.php/topic,16440)
