LOL, I wish! And I'm honoured, I was a lego wizz as a kid, but nothing like that. Great stuff.
My suggestion is that everyone should have a pocket-sized RC car that can do 33mph once upgraded and bust out more flips, skids and slides at a skate park than a broken Duncan Disorderly....

My suggestion is that everyone should have a pocket-sized RC car that can do 33mph once upgraded and bust out more flips, skids and slides at a skate park than a broken Duncan Disorderly....

Aw man, ours haven’t been out for more than a year. We had a bunch of small cars, but upped the scale because the little ones can’t cope with grass greater than 10mm long.
The problem with the kids becoming teens, is they start to grow up, which apparently leaves me, mentally, the youngest in the household...

Yea, we have the H E too, and the drive from another lego passenger train, I was looking at doing the same.
The LEGO drives alone are expensive though, but heard the LEPIN ones are pretty much identical but for a lot less.

The space shuttle/Mars rover Lego set has proved a big hit in our house - and good value at about £16 I think..

We got the Deep Space Rocket, which is very cool and has had a lot more actual play time than some kits. Definitely worth getting now and putting in a cupboard for your lad tomtom. They are only going up in price. We've got kits we bought on sale but decided the kids don't need (we are nearing peak LEGO) and sold them on a few years later for sometimes double what we bought them for. Star Wars Slave 1 we got for just under £100 is now going for double that, no doubt partially due to the Mandalorian and that it is officially retired.

We’ve got an X-wing Fighter 10240 which we bought when I came out of hospital. I didn’t get round to building it as by the time I was well enough, I just spent my time out walking.
Can’t decide what to do with it now; build it, sell it or keep it as an investment as they seem to be worth a decent amount.

I found an old Back To The Future DeLorean I got for Xmas ages previous when we moved house. Turn out it was quite rare, even having been opened and built, and the box a bit battered, it went for £85 on eBay!

Tricky. Sites like Brickinvesting or Brickpicker will tell you if it's worth hanging on to.
When my partner was working for Maersk she had the opp to buy the 2 Maersk ships and train for about £60 each, we got 2 sets of each, one for the kids and one to keep. Looks like the 3 unopened sets are about £1000 now.

Sites suggested its worth twice what I bought it for. Box looks in good nick and all bags inside still sealed. Will keep hold of it, as still have the option to build it, if I fancy.

TT, yep the boxes are still in the original transport packing, in a sealed bag, in the loft.
Gollum, you can get a newer X Wing from a more current series if you are desperate to build one.

Cheers.... Duma, I tried with a cheap USB video camera but never got it to work well. There are lots of FPV camera kits for cars (and even ones that come with it as default), and I'm sure they could be protected. The end results might be instant motion sickness tho!
Yoss - that could be done, Tamiya and Kyosho do a lot of body kits for their standard models so surely something could be replicated. Most of these cars are good for donuts in sandy parking areas too - too much power vs too little grip ;)

We should do it, trip to Font with an RC car each, hooning up and down the boulders on rest days :2thumbsup:
