Title: The Amazing scrolly pages
Post by: dobbin on December 03, 2002, 03:07:37 pm
If you have a wheel mouse (that is, one with a rolly wheel thing in between the two buttons) then roll down the page, and keep rolling, and keep on rolling FOREVER! hooray! watch the scroll bar at the side of the page get smaller and smaller and smaller.

Its fantastic.

(roll back up again and it gets shorter) Hours of fun. Who needs an XBOX?

Mine doesn't do that! Damn, I really feel like I'm missing out here. Screw GTA Vice City, I need endless scrolling   :D

Mine doesn't do it neither. Maybe you've got some kind of supermouse. If you turn the mouse through 90deg can you scroll horizontally?

Sadly not, but i have discovered the next level!

You know how if you press the rolly thing you get a little white icon and you can move the mouse to set it scrolling? do that and then leave the mouse scrolling the page into infinity... Go for a brew and by the time you get back you'll have at least five miles of ukBouldering - Extreme mouse action!

I am very disappointed that you guys can't get this to work, I can only assume that this means my mouse is vastly superior in all ways! both my desktop at home and at work do it and are XP pro (SP1) with IE 6.0.2800.1106. Because I am a geek I have tested it on NT4 with IE 5.5 sp2 and it doesn't work, also IE4 sp1.

I don't think you should fix it, rather if you could make it happen in all browser versions that would be splendid. Then everyone can join in.
