Am i being a fuckwit? How come it gives a link rather than the actual picture.

right, the piccie you want to link needs to be on the web,

right click it
Select properties
Now highlight the 'Address (URL)' section,
Either hold down Ctrl+C or right click and copy
Go to your post on UKB and insert the contents of the clipboard by either right clicking in your post and then selecting paste, or by CTRL+V

that should give you something like this:

Now, you need to put the img tags on, so high light the line you see above and then click the IMG button on the top, click preview to check and hey presto....
