Title: Help! Cheap climbing destinations with good internet?!
Post by: csl on October 20, 2014, 06:44:02 pm: I'm toying with the idea of trying to work remotely from a sport climbing destination in europe for a few months. My work would require frequent sending of files and generally a good internet connection.

Does anyone know of any European sport destinations that have a good internet connection, cheap accomodation + enough people coming through to be able to climb lots?

Somewhere like Kalandraka at Rodellar but with fast internet would be the ideal! Any ideas?

Internet is okay except in an evening when everyone is on it.

Anywhere with a MacDonalds nearby?

Coffee shops in America (I'm thinking Bishop) often had good internet too but I'm not sure if the cost of flights would remove it from your list of destinations. I'm guessing not if you're considering SA.

Works well almost everywhere in France/Spain, if you find a bar with wifi willing to put up with you for 12 hours... Not always totally cheap to keep on their good side. But in low-season they are usually glad for all the customers they get.
